WEST STREET APARTMENT

WEST STREET APARTMENT

Located in Tribeca and overlooking the Hudson, this apartment was originally two separate units which were combined to create one large apartment to accommodate a young growing family.

The west side of the apartment, with views of the water, features a great room including a formal living and dining space, an informal family room, kitchen and breakfast area. MR incorporated a sliding bronzed metal divider to to separate the formal and informal spaces if desired.

The palette layers earth tones, and more vibrant pops of color on top of a bright neutral base. We see many textural elements throughout the space including the plaster wall and ceiling, woven area rugs and an custom WYETH bamboo dining table.

The dining room chandelier is a custom designed illuminated sculpture by Jeff Zimmerman in brass with hand blown soda glass globes.

My role as junior designer included specifying, invoicing, and ordering all FF&E, drafting plans, elevations, and custom furniture designs, client shopping trips, styling, tracking and delivery coordination, coordinating contractors and craftsmen, and executing installation.
